Good questions before a great installation
The practical details matter as much as the finish. Here are the questions we are often asked when helping homeowners narrow their choice.
Which Andersen charger is best for a small driveway?
Quartz is Andersen’s compact option and can be specified with a socket or tethered cable. The best fit still depends on the wall position, where you park and which features you value.
What is the difference between Quartz and Quartz Vision?
Quartz Vision adds a 4.3-inch display to the compact Quartz style. Both offer smart charging features, but configuration and price depend on the chosen version.
Do the A3 and A2 hide their cables?
Yes. Both use Andersen’s concealed tethered cable arrangement. A3 has a 5.5 m cable; A2 offers 5.5 m or 8.5 m options, which can help when the charger cannot be close to the car.
Can I choose a colour to match my house?
Yes. Andersen offers a range of casing colours, premium finishes and selected wood-effect options, depending on model. The manufacturer’s configurator shows what is currently available.
Do I need a 22 kW charger at home?
Most homes use single-phase 7 kW charging. A 22 kW option needs suitable three-phase electrical supply and a car that can accept the higher AC charging rate. WB can discuss the feasibility; Andersen specifies its own installation service for 22 kW three-phase models.
Will an Andersen work with solar or a smart tariff?
Andersen publishes solar and supported smart tariff features for its 7 kW models. Actual compatibility depends on your electrical setup, tariff, charger model and software configuration. We will discuss the requirements rather than promise a particular saving.
What does the Andersen warranty cover?
Andersen advertises a seven-year manufacturer warranty for its chargepoints, subject to the product terms. This is not automatically a promise of seven years of free WB call-outs or installation labour. We will explain the agreed aftercare arrangements.
Can WB install an Andersen at a detached garage?
Potentially. Longer cable routes, outbuildings, underground ducts and separate distribution can require additional electrical work. We can assess the appropriate customer-side scope and any specialist interfaces.
How much does an Andersen installation cost?
It depends on the selected charger and finish, the cable route, available supply and any additional electrical works. We provide an appropriate installation quotation rather than displaying a manufacturer-only unit price as WB’s installed price.
Can I ask for advice before choosing a model?
Of course. Tell us which car you drive, where you park and whether the charger will be in a prominent position. We can talk through the Quartz, Vision, A3 and A2 and how the installation could work at your property.
