A practical starting point

What Can We Help You Install or Upgrade?

Tell us what is changing at the site, what must remain operational and the outcome you need. We can then review which installation, alteration and testing activities belong in the scope.

Not sure which page matches?

Send the full requirement. We will review it as a project rather than expecting you to divide it into website categories.

  • New commercial fit-outs and refurbishments
  • Distribution boards and sub-distribution
  • Additional circuits, sockets and small power
  • Three-phase and specialist equipment supplies
  • HVAC, plant and machinery power

Plan the Work Around People, Production and Access

Electrical work in a live office, production area, warehouse or public building needs more than a list of components. The sequence, isolation points, access arrangements and effect on other people all need to be understood before work starts.

The delivery plan is agreed for the individual site. Suitable controls and sequencing depend on the existing installation and the information available during review.

From first conversation to handover

A Clear Route From Requirement to Completed Work

The exact route depends on project size and procurement method, but these five stages give clients a practical view of how an enquiry can progress.

01

Initial discussion

Share the outcome, site, programme and known constraints.

02

Site and scope review

Clarify the existing installation, interfaces and information gaps.

03

Quotation

Set out the priced scope, assumptions, exclusions and agreed deliverables.

04

Controlled installation

Coordinate access, sequencing, communication and electrical work.

05

Testing and handover

Complete the agreed inspection, certification and project records.

Experience shaped by the site

Electrical Installation Support for Different Environments

The electrical task may look similar on paper, but the right delivery plan changes with the people, equipment, access and activities around it. Choose the environment closest to your site for more relevant information.

Offices and Commercial Property

Fit-outs, alterations, distribution and power requirements planned around occupants, access and the wider property programme.

Before you enquire

Questions About Commercial Electrical Installations

A little information at the start helps us understand the site, identify the right technical route and give you a more useful response.

What information do you need to price commercial electrical work?

A useful starting point is the site address, a description of the required outcome, drawings or photographs where available, the preferred programme and any access, shutdown or operational constraints. We can then confirm whether a site review or further technical information is needed before preparing a quotation.

Can electrical installation work be phased around a live site?

Often it can. The suitable approach depends on the existing installation, access, safety requirements and the activities that must remain operational. Phased work, agreed shutdowns, out-of-hours access or temporary arrangements may be considered when the scope is reviewed.

Can you work from drawings, specifications or a contractor brief?

Yes. We can review the information supplied by the client, consultant or principal contractor and clarify the electrical installation scope, interfaces, assumptions and exclusions before work begins. Any design responsibility should be agreed clearly for the individual project.

What testing and certification is provided after installation?

The inspection, testing, certification and handover information required should be agreed as part of the scope. The exact documentation depends on the installation and the work completed, so we confirm the deliverables before the project proceeds.

Can you install power supplies for plant, HVAC or machinery?

Yes, subject to a review of the equipment data, load, connection requirements, isolation arrangements and the capacity and condition of the existing installation. Early information from the equipment supplier helps us define the correct electrical scope.

Which areas do you cover?

WB Electrical is based in Larkhall and supports suitable commercial, industrial and public sector projects across Lanarkshire, Glasgow, the Central Belt and wider Scotland. Location, programme and project requirements are considered when we review each enquiry.

Have an installation, upgrade or alteration to plan?

Tell Us What Needs to Change at Your Site

Send the information you already have. WB Electrical can review the requirement, identify the next questions and help turn it into a clear electrical installation scope.

What helps us assess your requirement?

  • Site address and type of property
  • A description of the required outcome
  • Drawings, schedules, photographs or equipment data
  • Preferred programme and access restrictions
  • Shutdown or live-site constraints
  • Testing, certification and handover requirements
