Define the requirement and boundaries
Share the site, outcome, programme, drawings, equipment data and known constraints. Confirm which electrical components belong in the scope and which responsibilities remain with the client or specialist suppliers.

Survey, coordinate and install
Review the relevant distribution, loads, routes, access and isolation needs. Agree sequencing and interfaces, then complete the electrical work around the approved site plan and programme.

Test, hand back and identify follow-up
Inspect and test the completed work, provide the applicable records and clearly separate completed scope, retained systems, outstanding defects and any separately priced follow-on requirements.

We are not sure which installation service our project needs. Where do we start?
Send the overall outcome, site information and any drawings, reports or equipment data you already have. WB can identify whether the work is best treated as a fit-out, distribution project, addition, containment package, specialist supply, temporary-power requirement or a combination.
Can WB handle both small alterations and larger installation projects?
Yes. Defined additions and small works have their own route, while larger fit-outs, distribution changes, specialist supplies and infrastructure packages are scoped separately. The important point is to match the service route to the real task rather than stretch a small-work scope into a larger project.
Does an existing installation have to be replaced before new work can be added?
Not automatically. The relevant existing distribution, circuits, protection, earthing, capacity, condition and route need to be suitable for the proposed change. Where a wider upgrade is needed, it should be identified before the new work proceeds.
Planning the work
Often. The suitable approach depends on the affected circuits, access, site activity, critical services and safe working requirements. Phased work, agreed shutdowns, out-of-hours access or temporary arrangements may be considered after the installation and programme are reviewed.
Can WB work from drawings, specifications or a contractor brief?
Yes. WB can review information supplied by a client, consultant, main contractor or equipment supplier and clarify the electrical scope, interfaces, assumptions and exclusions. Any design responsibility should be agreed clearly for the individual project.
Can WB coordinate with machinery, HVAC, IT, fire, security or other specialists?
Yes, for the electrical interfaces within the agreed project. The scope should record who supplies, installs, connects, configures, tests and commissions each specialist system so responsibility is not duplicated or assumed.
Testing and handover
The completed electrical work is inspected and tested as appropriate to its scope. The applicable electrical certificate, test record, labels, schedules, drawings or other handover information should be agreed before the project proceeds.
Does completing installation work mean the whole existing site has been inspected?
No. Testing and certification relate to the agreed work and affected installation. A wider EICR, specialist-system test, machinery acceptance or condition survey is a separate scope unless it has been specifically commissioned.
