A simple tethered design for the driveway or garage.

DESIGNED AROUND YOUR DAILY DRIVE

Plug in at home. Get on with your day.

If you drive a Tesla, a Wall Connector is a natural choice. The tethered cable is ready when you get home, charging can be scheduled through the Tesla app and the charger can sit neatly by the driveway or in the garage.

WB looks at the whole installation, not just the Wall Connector: where you park, the cable route, the available electrical supply and how the charger will be commissioned for your household.

EVERYDAY CONVENIENCE

Why choose the Tesla Wall Connector?

It is the simple details that make charging at home feel natural. Here is what to expect from the current UK Wall Connector.

01

A cable that is ready

The 7.3 m tethered Type 2 cable keeps everyday plugging-in simple. We help position the charger where you actually park.

02

Charging in the Tesla app

With the Wall Connector commissioned, registered and on Wi-Fi, supported scheduling, charging history and settings can be managed in the Tesla app.

03

Not only for Tesla cars

Wall Connector can also charge compatible non-Tesla EVs with a Type 2 inlet, making it an option for households with different cars.

04

Power planned for your home

Most UK single-phase homes can use a suitable installation up to 7.4 kW. Charging rate depends on the vehicle and electrical supply. Additional load-control hardware may be needed.

BUILT AROUND YOUR HOME

The details worth checking before fitting

You do not need to know the technical answers. These are the things we will consider when reviewing your installation.

01

Parking and cable reach

Your normal parking position, the mounting surface and the most practical cable route into the property.

02

Electrical capacity

The consumer unit, existing demand, suitable protection and whether load-management equipment or supply changes are needed.

03

Connection and commissioning

Suitable Wi-Fi reception, Tesla One commissioning, Wall Connector registration and a helpful handover.

For multi-car households, compatible Wall Connectors can share power. Higher three-phase output is possible only where both the installation and vehicle allow it. If you are considering that route, we will check the practical benefit first.

WE KEEP THE PROCESS CLEAR

From the first enquiry to your first home charge

Tell us whether you already have a Wall Connector or still need to arrange one. Tesla may sell the unit separately from installation, so we will confirm exactly what WB’s quotation includes and what you need to order.

You will get an agreed electrical scope, an appropriate installation programme, testing and the relevant commissioning and handover information.

Four easy steps

01. Tell us your Tesla model, postcode and where you park.

02. We review the proposed location, supply and cable route.

03. Agree the installation quote and arrange the equipment.

04. We install, test, commission and explain how to use it.

Long cable routes, detached garages and consumer-unit alterations can be assessed separately.

REAL HOME INSTALLATIONS

Care with your property, not just your charger

A homeowner reviewing WB Electrical’s domestic charging work praised thoughtful cable routing, a tidy finish and carefully coordinated groundwork. That is the sort of attention to detail we aim to bring to every EV installation.

Whether the cable route is simple or needs more thought, we will explain the work and agree how it should be finished at your home.

HELP CHOOSING?

Is a Tesla Wall Connector the right fit?

If you want a tethered charger and Tesla app-led control, the Wall Connector is a good starting point. It is not the only suitable charger for a Tesla, especially where a different smart tariff or solar arrangement matters to you.

TESLA HOME CHARGING QUESTIONS

The questions worth asking before installation

Clear answers about charging speeds, equipment, app features and getting an accurate quotation.

Do I need a Tesla Wall Connector for my Tesla?

No. Tesla vehicles can charge with other compatible Type 2 home chargers. The Wall Connector is a convenient option if you want a tethered cable and Tesla app features. We can compare the alternatives for your vehicle and household.

Can a Tesla Wall Connector charge another brand of electric car?

Yes. The UK Wall Connector supports compatible electric cars with a Type 2 charging inlet. Some Tesla-specific functions, such as the connector button opening a Tesla charge port, are not universal for other cars.

How fast will my Tesla charge at home?

A suitable single-phase home installation may provide up to 7.4 kW. Tesla lists 11 kW AC capability for its current UK Model S, 3, X and Y models on suitable three-phase supplies. Actual charging depends on the vehicle, installation and selected current setting.

Do I need three-phase electricity or a 22 kW charger?

Usually not for ordinary overnight charging. Tesla Wall Connector equipment can support up to 22 kW on suitable three-phase installations, but that does not mean every Tesla can accept 22 kW AC. We would assess the supply and vehicle before recommending an upgrade.

How does Tesla app scheduling work?

Once the Wall Connector has been commissioned, connected to suitable Wi-Fi and registered to the customer, the Tesla app can provide supported scheduling, history and settings. We will explain the set-up and what to expect from your chosen configuration.

Does the Wall Connector have automatic load management?

Tesla offers power-management options, including dynamic load management with a compatible Dynamic Power Meter sold separately. The site may need extra equipment and commissioning. We check the requirement rather than assume every installation includes it.

Can I have more than one Tesla Wall Connector?

Tesla supports power sharing between compatible Wall Connectors for households with multiple vehicles. Whether that is practical depends on the electrical supply, charging windows and proposed equipment. We can review the arrangement.

Does WB sell the charger or only install it?

Some homeowners purchase the Wall Connector directly from Tesla; others want advice before arranging supply. We will clarify whether the unit is customer-supplied or included by agreement. Tesla’s online product price is not an installed WB quotation.

What does the Tesla Wall Connector warranty cover?

Tesla currently states a 48-month manufacturer warranty for normal residential use, subject to its terms. That does not automatically include four years of free installation labour or WB call-outs. The electrical scope and aftercare will be agreed separately.

What do you need to quote for my home?

Tell us your postcode, Tesla model, where you park and whether you already own the Wall Connector. Photographs of the charger position and consumer unit are helpful, but you can contact us without them and we will explain the next step.

Still unsure? You can ask us about the Wall Connector before you make a final choice.

READY TO CHARGE AT HOME?

Let’s get your Tesla home charging sorted

Tell us your Tesla model, postcode and where you would like the charger. If you have already bought your Wall Connector, that is fine too. We will help you understand the next practical step.
