This component is for permanent electrical supplies to equipment with specific load, phase, starting, isolation or coordination requirements. It is particularly useful where machinery, plant or operational equipment needs more than a general socket or routine small-power alteration.
New machinery or plant needs a dedicated supply
Plan a suitable single or three-phase circuit, route and local connection for production machinery, pumps, HVAC, compressors, workshop equipment and other defined loads.
Existing equipment is being moved or replaced
Review the new location, supply characteristics, disconnection, revised route, local isolation and any distribution changes needed before reconnection.
The equipment supplier needs an electrical interface
Coordinate the WB electrical scope with OEM, mechanical, controls or specialist contractor requirements so the source, connection point and commissioning boundary are clear.

The electrical scope is developed from the actual equipment information and existing installation rather than from a generic load description. WB keeps the equipment, distribution and controls responsibilities visible so the supply can be planned around the real project.

The OEM, mechanical contractor, controls specialist or equipment supplier remains responsible for its own equipment design, settings, internal controls, functional commissioning and warranty requirements unless those responsibilities are expressly included in WB’s agreed scope.

Bring the electrical review in before the equipment arrives
Early information about the machine or plant gives the electrical work a much stronger starting point. Manufacturer data, supply characteristics, starting information, connection position and programme all help identify the likely circuit, route, source and interfaces.A nameplate photograph is useful, but it may not show starting current, control arrangements or all manufacturer connection requirements. A survey may still be needed to verify the source, route, environment and access.

We review the manufacturer and model, intended duty, voltage, phase, rated current or power, starting information, connection point and any stated isolation or protection requirements.

Survey the source and route
The relevant distribution, available capacity, earthing, route, environment, access and shutdown constraints are considered before the final supply arrangement is agreed.

Agree interfaces and programme
WB, the client and other contractors agree responsibilities, delivery and commissioning dates, shutdowns, access and the sequence leading to the electrical connection and equipment handover.
Do not remove covers or open equipment simply to obtain quotation information. Manufacturer data sheets, nameplate photographs, layouts and closed-board photographs are enough to start the review; the installation can be verified safely during an agreed site visit.

Electrical handover matched to the scope
- Inspection and testing appropriate to the new circuit, connection and affected part of the electrical installation.
- The applicable electrical certificate or test record for the work completed by WB.
- Circuit, protective-device, outlet and local-isolation identification where required by the agreed installation.
- Clear separation between WB’s completed electrical scope and any outstanding OEM, controls, commissioning or wider-infrastructure activity.
Electrical completion does not automatically mean the connected equipment has been functionally commissioned or accepted by its manufacturer. The handover should identify the electrical work completed and the specialist responsibilities that remain.
Keep the interfaces clear
- Equipment/OEM:equipment design, internal controls, settings, functional commissioning and warranty conditions unless expressly reassigned.
- Distribution:board alterations, new sub-distribution or material upstream capacity work where these become a separate project requirement.
- Mechanical or controls package:associated plant, controls, interlocks and specialist commissioning owned by the relevant contractor unless included by agreement.
- Hazardous areas:gas or vapour hazardous-area work requires a separate review through WB’s CompEx service and the client’s hazardous-area information.
Clear allocation at quotation stage prevents the electrical supply from being mistaken for complete ownership of the machine, plant or specialist system.

Yes. WB installs three-phase supplies for suitable machinery, HVAC, plant, warehouse and commercial equipment. The arrangement is assessed against the equipment information, existing distribution, route, site conditions and the responsibilities of the equipment supplier.
What information is needed before a specialist power quotation?

Can the supply be installed before the equipment arrives?

Who commissions the machinery or plant after the electrical connection?
That depends on the agreed contract. WB can complete and verify its electrical scope, while functional commissioning, controls settings, process checks or manufacturer acceptance may remain with the OEM, mechanical contractor or specialist supplier.
