Healthcare electrical work is not one generic package. The client, dutyholder or appointed designer should identify the standards, authorisations and local procedures that govern the particular building, system and work area.
NHS Scotland Technical Guidance
SHTM 06-01 covers electrical supply and distribution in healthcare premises. SHTM 06-02 provides operational guidance for low-voltage electrical safety. Their relevance and the applicable parts should be confirmed by the healthcare client for the scope.
