Staff and workplace charging
Staff cars, pool vehicles and visitors may be parked for several hours. We consider who needs access, how long vehicles stay and whether a modest first phase can support your requirements.
Fleet and operational vehicles
Vans and company vehicles may return at different times and need to be ready for the next shift. Charger quantity, vehicle compatibility and charging windows shape the electrical demand.
Customer-facing and shared parking
Hotels, destinations and managed car parks need suitable bay locations, clear access and a decision about who manages users, payments and support. An electrical installation is one part of that wider service.
The right answer is not automatically the most chargers or the highest power. A usable installation starts with vehicle demand, site capacity and the people who will use it.

What a commercial EV installation can include
Electrical supplies, protection and charging equipment
- Reviewing the existing supply and distribution, then agreeing dedicated circuits, protective equipment, isolation, cabling and containment suitable for the design.
- Installing chargepoints, mounting equipment and any agreed metering, access controls and compatible power-sharing arrangements.
- Inspecting, testing and commissioning the electrical installation, checking the agreed charger functions and handing over relevant records and settings.
Parking layout, groundworks and other interfaces
Longer routes to parking areas may need ducts, trenching, foundations, feeder equipment or reinstatement. We establish the electrical and civil-engineering boundaries early and coordinate suitable specialists where included in the agreed work.
Before equipment is ordered, we review practical access, pedestrian routes, vehicle movements, possible impact protection, available communications and future bays. Site permissions and working arrangements are identified with your team.
Where a DNO connection application, landlord approval or public charging operator is involved, we agree who is responsible for each part. WB can coordinate defined information and electrical works, but does not automatically become the network operator or public charging provider.

Survey, install and commission with a clear programme
Our approach is designed around an occupied commercial site. We discuss parking restrictions, site access, safe working areas and any electrical isolation before agreeing the installation sequence.

Confirm the requirement and site readiness
Establish users, charging windows, locations, available supply information and existing equipment. If capacity is uncertain, agree the level of survey or detailed assessment needed before the installation is priced.

Agree equipment, interfaces and timing
Set out charger models or performance requirements, electrical design responsibilities, cable routes, civils, any DNO steps and working windows. Agree future provision, exclusions and any staged delivery.

Install, verify and hand over
Complete the agreed physical and electrical works, inspection and testing. Configure supported charger functions, demonstrate the agreed user access and controls, and provide the handover information the site team needs.

Testing, settings and installation records
The handover can include applicable electrical certification, chargepoint and circuit identification, configured limits, commissioning results, user instructions and information on equipment warranties. The exact document package is agreed for the project.
Your team should know what has been installed, where to find the records and which charging or access functions have been demonstrated. We identify any outstanding items before the system is accepted.
Who runs the chargers once we leave?
Agree who owns administrator access, changes user permissions, pays any software or network subscriptions and handles driver queries or faults. If public charging is intended, the appointed operator manages the relevant customer-facing responsibilities.

Ten Easee chargepoints in Hamilton
In 2025, WB Electrical installed ten Easee smart EV chargepoints at Procladd’s Hamilton premises, including the associated electrical installation, testing, setup and handover. Easee Keys were provided for controlled user access.
The work built on an electrical service relationship dating from 2018. It shows our experience delivering a working multi-chargepoint installation alongside the day-to-day needs of a commercial site.

We scope design, network, civils and software interfaces rather than assuming every specialist service is automatically included.
Clear answers before committing to an installation
Commercial EV charger installation questions
Can WB install just one or two workplace chargepoints?
Yes. Smaller workplace projects are welcome. We still check the electrical supply, parking layout, charger suitability and relevant notifications so that the installation meets the practical need without unnecessary complexity.
Can you install several chargers and prepare for more later?
Yes, where the site and agreed design allow. We can assess multiple chargepoints and make provision for later phases, such as suitable routes or distribution capacity. The future phase and any additional supply need should be clearly scoped, not assumed.
Will we need a new electricity supply?
Not always. The answer depends on available site capacity, charging times, charger ratings and other building loads. Load management may help use existing capacity, but larger projects can still require network discussion or upgrades.
Do you supply chargers or can we specify our own?
We can discuss suitable equipment or work from a client or consultant specification. Before accepting a specified product, we check its compatibility, installation requirements, controls, documentation and responsibility for commissioning and warranty support.
Can charging be installed while our business stays open?
Often, yes, with agreed access and work sequencing. Some connections may require isolation or parking areas to be taken out of use. We identify affected operations and agree suitable working windows rather than promise that every installation is disruption-free.
What happens after the chargers have been installed?
We inspect and test the agreed electrical installation, commission the supported charger functions and provide the agreed records and handover. We can also discuss a separate maintenance arrangement, while software, payment and manufacturer services remain with their appointed providers.

Charger number and specification, electrical capacity, distribution alterations, cable distances, civils, access, communications and commissioning requirements all affect the scope and price.
A clear quotation distinguishes equipment, on-site electrical work, specialist or network charges and ongoing software or operating costs. Where further study is needed, its scope and fee can be agreed rather than assumed to be free.
