What counts as a reactive electrical callout?
An unplanned electrical problem needing timely diagnosis or safe action, such as loss of power, repeated tripping, overheating, damaged electrical equipment, failed circuits or a supply fault affecting operations.
Do you provide guaranteed 24/7 emergency attendance?
Round-the-clock support is available only for contracted critical sites and selected clients where it has been agreed. For other enquiries, we confirm the earliest practical response after reviewing the location, safety risk, access and current workload.
Can you guarantee the fault will be repaired during the first visit?
No responsible contractor can guarantee this before diagnosis. Some faults can be repaired immediately; others require parts, further investigation, specialist support or a controlled shutdown. The first priority is a safe, evidence-led outcome and a clear repair route.
What should we do if a breaker, RCD or RCBO keeps tripping?
Do not keep resetting it. Disconnecting or isolating equipment should only be attempted where it is safe, authorised and consistent with the site procedure. Record what was operating when the trip occurred and arrange competent fault investigation.
Can unaffected parts of the site remain operational?
Often they can, but only after the installation and fault have been assessed. Selective isolation or a temporary arrangement may be possible where it is safe, technically suitable and agreed with the authorised site contact.
What records will we receive after the callout?
The appropriate record depends on the work completed. A handover can summarise the reported fault, findings, isolations, actions, tests, supply status, operating restrictions and recommended remedials. Certification is provided where the completed electrical work requires it.
Do you cover sites outside Glasgow and the Central Belt?
Yes. WB Electrical works across Scotland for suitable commercial, industrial and public-sector requirements. Callout feasibility depends on location, urgency and engineer availability, so provide the postcode at the outset.
What if the same electrical fault keeps returning?
Repeat callouts should be reviewed as a pattern rather than treated as isolated events. We can use the fault history to propose targeted testing, remedial upgrades, thermal imaging or a planned preventative maintenance programme through the wider Electrical Maintenance service.
